SEC. 209. [14 U.S.C. 88 note] SURVIVAL AND LOCATING EQUIPMENT. Not later than 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commandant shall, subject to the availability of appropriations, identify and procure equipment that will provide search-and-rescue units the ability to attach a radio or Automated Identification System strobe or beacon to an object that is not immediately retrievable.
