SEC. 1155. INDIAN TRIBES. (a) Cost Sharing Provisions for Territories and Indian Tribes.—Section 1156(a)(2) of the Water Resources Development Act of 1986 (33 U.S.C. 2310(a)(2)) is amended by striking “(as defined” and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting “or tribal organization (as those terms are defined in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5304)).”. (b) Written Agreement Requirement for Water Resources Projects.—Section 221(b)(1) of the Flood Control Act of 1970 (42 U.S.C. 1962d-5b(b)(1)) is amended by striking “(including a” and all that follows through “; or” at the end and inserting “(including an Indian tribe and a tribal organization (as those terms are defined in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5304)); or”.
