LIMITATION ON AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS FOR F-35 JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER FOLLOW-ON MODERNIZATION.

SEC. 223. LIMITATION ON AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS FOR F-35 JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER FOLLOW-ON MODERNIZATION. (a) In General.—Not more than 25 percent of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2018 or any other fiscal year for the Department of Defense may be obligated for F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Follow-On Modernization until the Secretary of Defense provides the final report required under section 224(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 (Public Law 114-328). (b) Dual Capable Aircraft.—Neither the limitation in subsection (a) nor the limitation in section 224(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 shall be construed to limit or otherwise restrict any funding that is required to develop, certify, or deliver F-35A dual capable aircraft.
