EXPANSION OF DERELICT VESSEL RECYCLING.

SEC. 136. EXPANSION OF DERELICT VESSEL RECYCLING. Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Under Secretary and the EPA Administrator shall jointly conduct a study to determine the feasibility of developing a nationwide derelict vessel recycling program— (1) using as a model the fiberglass boat recycling program from the pilot project in Rhode Island led by Rhode Island Sea Grant and its partners; and (2) including, if possible, recycling of vessels made from materials other than fiberglass.
