MODIFICATION OF TIME REQUIRED FOR EXPEDITED DECISIONS IN CONNECTION WITH APPLICATIONS FOR CHANGE OF STATION OR UNIT TRANSFER OF MEMBERS WHO ARE VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT OR RELATED OFFENSES.

SEC. 531. MODIFICATION OF TIME REQUIRED FOR EXPEDITED DECISIONS IN CONNECTION WITH APPLICATIONS FOR CHANGE OF STATION OR UNIT TRANSFER OF MEMBERS WHO ARE VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT OR RELATED OFFENSES. (a) In General.—Section 673(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking “72 hours” both places it appears and inserting “five calendar days”. (b) [10 U.S.C. 673 note] Effective Date.—The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act, and shall apply to decisions on applications for permanent change of station or unit transfer made under section 673 of title 10, United States Code, on or after that date.
