PLAN FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE JURISDICTION OVER OFF-BASE PRIVATIZED MILITARY HOUSING.

SEC. 3043. PLAN FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE JURISDICTION OVER OFF-BASE PRIVATIZED MILITARY HOUSING. (a) Plan Required.—Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a plan to establish jurisdiction by the Department of Defense for law enforcement and other specified purposes, concurrently with local community law enforcement, at locations with privatized military housing that is not located on an installation of the Department of Defense. (b) Consultation.—The Secretary of Defense shall prepare the plan in consultation with the Secretaries of the military departments.
