CLIMATE SECURITY ADVISORY COUNCIL.

SEC. 404. CLIMATE SECURITY ADVISORY COUNCIL. (a) Reports.—Subsection (d) of section 120 of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 3060) is amended— (1) by striking “Not later” and inserting the following: “(1) Requirement.—Not later” ; and (2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: “(2) Matters included.—Each report under paragraph (1) shall include a description of any obstacles or gaps relating to— “(A) the Council fulfilling its duties and responsibilities under subsection (c); or “(B) the responsiveness of the intelligence community to the climate security needs and priorities of the policymaking elements of the Federal Government.” . (b) Extension of Sunset; Technical Amendments.—Such section 120 is amended— (1) in subsection (b)(1)(B)(v), by inserting “and Security” after “for Intelligence”; (2) by redesignating the second subsection (e) as subsection (f); and (3) in subsection (e), by striking “the date that is 4 years after the date of the enactment of this section” and inserting “December 31, 2025”.
