DISTRIBUTION OF COMMISSIONED OFFICERS ON ACTIVE DUTY IN GENERAL OFFICER AND FLAG OFFICER GRADES.

SEC. 502. DISTRIBUTION OF COMMISSIONED OFFICERS ON ACTIVE DUTY IN GENERAL OFFICER AND FLAG OFFICER GRADES. Section 525 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in subsection (a)— (A) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking “as follows:” and inserting an em dash; (B) in paragraph (4)(C), by striking the period at the end and inserting “; and”; and (C) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: “(5) in the Space Force, if that appointment would result in more than— “(A) 2 officers in the grade of general; “(B) 7 officers in a grade above the grade of major general; or “(C) 6 officers in the grade of major general.” ;”; (2) in subsection (c)— (A) in paragraph (1)(A), by striking “and Marine Corps” and inserting “Marine Corps, and Space Force”; and (B) in paragraph (2), by striking “or Marine Corps” and inserting “Marine Corps, or Space Force”; and (3) in subsection (d), by striking “or Commandant of the Marine Corps” and inserting “Commandant of the Marine Corps, or Chief of Space Operations”.
