SEC. 572. PILOT PROGRAM TO EXPAND ELIGIBILITY FOR ENROLLMENT AT DOMESTIC DEPENDENT ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS: EXTENSION; REPORT. (a) Extension.—Section 589C(e) of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law 116-283; 10 U.S.C. 2164 note) is amended by striking “four years after the date of the enactment of this Act” and inserting “on July 1, 2029”. (b) Report Required.— (1) In general.—Not later than December 31, 2028, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the conduct of the pilot program under such section. (2) Elements.—The report shall include a description of— (A) the locations at which the pilot program is carried out; (B) the number of students participating in the pilot program for each academic year by location; and (C) the outcome measures used to gauge the value of the pilot program to the Department of Defense.
