SEC. 1252. MODIFICATION OF INDO-PACIFIC MARITIME SECURITY INITIATIVE TO AUTHORIZE USE OF FUNDS FOR THE COAST GUARD. Section 1263 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (10 U.S.C. 333 note) is amended by striking subsection (f) and inserting the following new subsection (f): “(f) Availability of Funds for Coast Guard Personnel and Capabilities.—The Secretary of Defense may use funds made available under this section to facilitate the participation of Coast Guard personnel in, and the use of Coast Guard capabilities for, training, exercises, and other activities with foreign countries under this section.” .
