SEC. 1047. [10 U.S.C. 113 note] INTRODUCTION OF ENTITIES IN TRANSACTIONS CRITICAL TO NATIONAL SECURITY. (a) In General.—The Secretary of Defense shall facilitate the introduction of entities for the purpose of discussing a covered transaction that the Secretary has determined is in the national security interests of the United States. (b) Covered Transaction Defined.—The term “covered transaction” means a transaction that the Secretary has reason to believe would likely involve an entity affiliated with a strategic competitor unless an alternative transaction were to occur.
