SEC. 3514. SERVICE ACADEMY FACULTY PARITY OF USE OF UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT WORKS. Section 105 of title 17, United States Code, is amended— (1) in the heading of subsection (b), by striking “Certain of Works ” and inserting “Certain Works”; (2) in the first subsection (c) (relating to “Use by Federal Government”) by striking “The Secretary of Defense” and inserting “A covered Secretary”; (3) by redesignating the second subsection (c) (relating to “Definitions”) as subsection (d); and (4) in subsection (d), as redesignated by paragraph (3), (A) in paragraph (2), by adding at the end the following: “(M) United States Merchant Marine Academy.” ; (B) by redesignating paragraph (3) as paragraph (4); and (C) by inserting after paragraph (2) the following new paragraph: “(3) The term ‘covered Secretary’ means— “(A) the Secretary of Transportation, with respect to the United States Merchant Marine Academy; “(B) the Secretary of Homeland Security, with respect to the United States Coast Guard Academy; or “(C) the Secretary of Defense, with respect to any other covered institution under paragraph (2).” .
