SEC. 24206. PETITIONS BY INTERESTED PERSONS FOR STANDARDS AND ENFORCEMENT. Section 30162 of title 49, United States Code, is amended— (1) in subsection (b), by striking “The petition” and inserting “A petition under this section”; (2) in subsection (c), by striking “the petition” and inserting “a petition under this section”; and (3) in subsection (d)— (A) in the third sentence, by striking “If a petition” and inserting the following: “(3) Denial.—If a petition under this section” ; (B) in the second sentence , by striking “If a petition is granted” and inserting the following: “(2) Approval.—If a petition under this section is approved” ; and (C) in the first sentence, by striking “The Secretary shall grant or deny a petition” and inserting the following: “(1) In general.—The Secretary shall determine whether to approve or deny a petition under this section by” .
