SEC. 561. SERVICE ACADEMIES: NUMBERS OF NOMINATIONS BY MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND APPOINTMENTS BY THE SECRETARIES OF THE MILITARY DEPARTMENTS. (a) United States Military Academy.—Section 7442 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in subsection (a), in the matter following paragraph (10), by striking “10 persons” and inserting “15 persons”; and (2) in subsection (b)(5), by striking “150” and inserting “200”. (b) United States Naval Academy.—Section 8454 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in subsection (a), in the matter following paragraph (10), by striking “10 persons” and inserting “15 persons”; and (2) in subsection (b)(5), by striking “150” and inserting “200”. (c) United States Air Force Academy.—Section 9442 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in subsection (a), in the matter following paragraph (10), by striking “10 persons” and inserting “15 persons”; and (2) in subsection (b)(5), by striking “150” and inserting “200”. (d) [10 U.S.C. 7442 note] Applicability.—The amendments made by this section shall apply to nominations of candidates and appointments to the Service Academies (as such term is defined in section 347 of title 10, United States Code) for classes entering such Service Academies beginning with the 2025-2026 academic year.
