SEC. 1803. [10 U.S.C. 2911 note] MODIFICATION TO REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO COMBATING MILITARY RELIANCE ON RUSSIAN ENERGY. Section 1086 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Public Law 117-263) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)(2), by striking “main operating bases” and inserting “operating bases”; and (2) in each of subsections (b) and (g), by striking “main operating base” each place it appears and inserting “operating base”; (3) in subsection (c)— (A) in the subsection heading, by striking “Main”; (B) by striking paragraph (1) and inserting the following new paragraph (1): “(1) Identification of installations.—The Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a list of operating bases within the area of responsibility of the United States European Command ranked according to mission criticality and vulnerability to energy disruption as follows: “(A) In the case of a main operating base, by not later than June 1, 2023. “(B) In the case of any operating base other than a main operating base, by not later than June 1, 2024.” ; and (C) in paragraph (2)(A), by inserting “(A)” after “paragraph (1)”.
