MODIFICATION OF AUTHORITY TO USE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE FUNDS FOR CYBER OPERATIONS-PECULIAR CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS.

SEC. 1503. MODIFICATION OF AUTHORITY TO USE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE FUNDS FOR CYBER OPERATIONS-PECULIAR CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. Section 1640 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 (Public Law 116-92) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)— (A) by striking “ and each Secretary of the military departments concerned”; (B) by striking “per use” and inserting “per project”; and (C) by striking “through 2025” and inserting “through 2028”; (2) by amending subsection (b) to read as follows: “(b) Limitation.—Each fiscal year, the Commander of the United States Cyber Command may obligate and expend under subsection (a) not more than $16,000,000.” ; (3) in subsection (c)— (A) by striking “$500,000” and inserting “$1,000,000”; and (B) by striking “the Secretary of Defense, or his designee, and each Secretary of the military departments concerned, or their designees,” and inserting “the Secretary of Defense (or a designee)”; and (4) in subsection (d), by striking “2025” and inserting “2028”.
