SEC. 2808. [10 U.S.C. 2802 note] INCLUSION ON DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE FORM 1391 OF INFORMATION ON CONSIDERATION OF CERTAIN METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION FOR CERTAIN MILITARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS. (a) In General.—As part of the Department of Defense Form 1391 submitted to the appropriate committees of Congress for a covered military construction project, each covered official shall, to the extent practicable, include information on whether all relevant construction materials and methods of construction included in the Unified Facilities Criteria/DoD Building Code (UFC 1-200-01) were considered in the design of such covered military construction project. (b) Definitions.—In this section: (1) The terms “appropriate committees of Congress” and “military construction project” have the meanings given in section 2801 of title 10, United States Code. (2) The term “covered military construction project” means a military construction project with an estimated total cost in excess of $9,000,000. (3) The term “covered official” means— (A) the Secretary of Defense; and (B) each Secretary of a military department.
