SEC. 2801. REPORTS ON CLAIMS BY UNITED STATES FIRMS AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT OF SAUDI ARABIA. (a) In General.—Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act and every 180 days thereafter, the Secretary of State, after consultation with the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Commerce, shall submit a report to the appropriate congressional committees on specific actions taken by the Department of State, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Commerce toward progress in resolving the commercial disputes between United States firms and the Government of Saudi Arabia that are described in the June 30, 1993, report by the Secretary of Defense pursuant to section 9140(c) of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 1993 (Public Law 102–396), including the additional claims noticed by the Department of Commerce on page 2 of that report. (b) Termination.—Subsection (a) shall cease to have effect on the earlier of— (1) the date of submission of the eleventh report under that subsection; or (2) the date that the Secretary of State, after consultation with the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Commerce, certifies in writing to the appropriate congressional committees that the commercial disputes referred to in subsection (a) have been resolved satisfactorily.
