MODIFICATION OF TEMPORARY AUTHORITY TO APPOINT RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES TO POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE.

SEC. 1103. MODIFICATION OF TEMPORARY AUTHORITY TO APPOINT RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES TO POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE. Section 1108 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (Public Law 116-283) is amended— (1) in subsection (b)(1)(A)— (A) in clause (i), by striking “or” at the end; (B) in clause (ii), by striking “and” at the end and inserting “or”; and (C) by inserting after clause (ii) the following: “(iii) licensed medical personnel; and” ; and (2) in subsection (d), by striking “this Act” and inserting “the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026”.
