SEC. 1606. [10 U.S.C. 2271 note] CONTINUATION OF OPERATION OF DEFENSE METEOROLOGICAL SATELLITE PROGRAM. The Secretary of Defense shall continue to operate the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program, and its existing functions and distribution capability, until the end of the functional life of the satellites in orbit as of the date of the enactment of this Act under such program.
