SEC. 255. AUTHORIZATION FOR APPROPRIATIONS FOR NEW BUILDING PERFORMANCE STANDARDS GRANTS. Section 307(b) of the Energy Conservation Standards for New Buildings Act of 1976 is amended to read as follows: “(b) There is authorized to be appropriated, for the purpose of carrying out this section, the following amounts— “(1) for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1977, not to exceed $5,000,000; “(2) for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1978, not to exceed $10,000,000; and “(3) for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1979, not to exceed $10,000,000. Any amount appropriated pursuant to this subsection shall remain available until expended.” .
