SEC. 503. DNA IDENTIFICATION OF TERRORISTS AND OTHER VIOLENT OFFENDERS. Section 3(d)(2) of the DNA Analysis Backlog Elimination Act of 2000 (42 U.S.C. 14135a(d)(2)) is amended to read as follows: ā€œ(2) In addition to the offenses described in paragraph (1), the following offenses shall be treated for purposes of this section as qualifying Federal offenses, as determined by the Attorney General: ā€œ(A) Any offense listed in section 2332b(g)(5)(B) of title 18, United States Code. ā€œ(B) Any crime of violence (as defined in section 16 of title 18, United States Code). ā€œ(C) Any attempt or conspiracy to commit any of the above offenses.ā€ .
