SEC. 4014. [49 U.S.C. 44925 note] ADVANCED AIRPORT CHECKPOINT SCREENING DEVICES. (a) Advanced Integrated Airport Checkpoint Screening System Pilot Program.—Not later than March 31, 2005, the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security (Transportation Security Administration) shall develop and initiate a pilot program to deploy and test advanced airport checkpoint screening devices and technology as an integrated system at not less than 5 airports in the United States. (b) Funding.—Of the amounts appropriated pursuant to section 48301(a) of title 49, United States Code, for each of fiscal years 2005 and 2006, not more than $150,000,000 shall be available to carry out subsection (a).
