1 INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM OIR-10-02M ISSUED April 21, 2010 Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Kevin M. McCarty, Commissioner To Residential Property Insurers in the State of Florida The purpose of this memorandum is to inform Residential Property Insurers that the “Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form” (Form OIR-B1-1802) and the “Notice of Premium Discounts for Hurricane Loss Mitigation” (Form OIR-B1-1655) have been revised and are effective today, April 21, 2010. You are strongly urged to review and become familiar with the forms. A copy of each form is attached to this Informational Memorandum. On April 1, 2010, proposed revisions to Rule 69O-170.0155, Florida Administrative Code, were adopted. The rule incorporated and adopted revisions to the “Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form” (OIR-B1-1802) and the “Notice of Premium Discounts for Hurricane Loss Mitigation” (OIR-B1-1655). The effective date of the rule and the revised forms is April 21, 2010. It is important to note that these forms do not change any approved company inspection requirements nor do they change the mitigation discounts/credits as adopted in Section 69O-170.017, Florida Administrative Code.
