KING INSURANCE AND SAFETY FIRE COMMISSIONER DATE: OCTOBER 2, 2024 RE: EMERGENCY DISASTER ADJUSTER REQUEST On September 24, Governor Brian Kemp issued a State of Emergency for a number of Georgia counties due to potential effects caused by Hurricane Helene. In the event of a declared disaster or catastrophe, an insurer, or employer who is a licensed adjuster in this state, or is a regular employer of insurance adjusters in this state may request emergency disaster adjuster status for Georgia Registered Staff Adjusters, Out-of-State Staff Adjusters, or Out-of-State Licensees. Insurers and adjusters should view the previously released BULLETIN 21-EX-6 for instructions on requesting emergency disaster adjuster status from our office. JOHN F.
