# MEMORANDUM 2020-2LIC
March 19, 2020
TO: All Workers' Compensation Adjuster Licensees Up for Renewal
FROM: Colin M. Hayashida, Insurance Commissioner
Colin M. Hayashida
SUBJECT: License Examinations and License Status
In response to the recent announcement by Pearson Vue of a temporary closure and suspension of testing for licenses until April 16, 2020, the Insurance Commissioner is issuing Memorandum 2020-2LIC regarding status of Workers' Compensation Adjuster licenses subject to renewal on April 16, 2020.
Licenses will be extended past the April 16 date until examinations are made available under the following provisions. Licensees who are required to take and pass an examination for an April 16 renewal date must pay fees timely and submit a written explanation that the examination requirement has not been met due to unavailability of testing by Pearson Vue. Licensees must take the examination within 45 days from the date that testing is made available.
The renewal fees may be submitted via the United States Postal Service ("USPS") or other express service such as Federal Express or UPS. The receipt date of the document will be the USPS postmark stamp or stamp on the express service envelope, or the date the Division receives the document, whichever is earlier.
If you have any questions, please email inslic@dcca.hawaii.gov.
This Memorandum shall be in effect for 90 days, and may be extended.
