Hayashida Insurance Commissioner SUBJECT: Accept Electronic Application for More Licenses Effective March 12, 2021, the Insurance Division will accept Applications, Renewals, and Reinstatements (within 30 days of nonrenewal) electronically via NIPR for the following license types: 1. Resident Limited Lines Self-Service Storage Producer license 2. Resident & Nonresident Crop Adjuster – Limited license 3. Resident & Nonresident Independent Adjuster license 4. Resident & Nonresident Public Adjuster license 5. Resident & Nonresident Third Party Administrator 6. Resident & Nonresident Workers’ Compensation Adjuster – Limited license (“AWC”) *Note: If licenses were inactivated within two years of inactivation, DO NOT reactivate your license via NIPR. Please contact the Licensing Branch at inslic@dcca.hawaii.gov for further instructions. *Note: The renewal or reinstatement of an Independent Adjuster License and Public Adjuster license may also be made through ehawaii.gov/insrenew. DO NOT renew or reinstate an Independent Adjuster License and Public Adjuster license through both websites, just one or the other. Memorandum 2021-2LIC March 16, 2021 Page 2 *Note: The renewal or reinstatement for resident & nonresident AWCs may be made through www.nipr.com if you pass the re-examination for Workers’ Compensation Adjuster exam. If you are not able to take the re-examination of Workers’ Compensation Adjuster exam due to unavailability of the test site, you must mail in your renewal notice along with payment and a “Declaration Letter” to the Licensing Branch based on the Insurance Commissioner’s Memorandum 2020-5LIC and 2020-9A prior to your renewal due date. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF APPLICATIONS AND RENEWALS/REINSTATEMENTS ARE BEING SUBMITTED THROUGH THIRD-PARTY VENDORS, THE INSURANCE DIVISION CANNOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR APPLICATIONS OR RENEWAL/REINSTATEMENT OF LICENSES FOR WITHDRAWN OR SUBMITTED IN ERROR.
