HAR §17-2026-34. Participant eligibility

(a) In order to be eligible to participate in the grant program, an applicant shall: (1) Submit a completed application, including but not limited to verification documentation pursuant to section 17-2026-39; (2) Qualify as a homeless or at-risk homeless family or individual; (3) Have earning capabilities or have a financial situation which gives reasonable assurance of meeting future rental payments in a timely manner when program assistance is used for housing costs; (4) Provide information regarding the causes of the emergency situation or any other pertinent information which the agency requires to conduct a meaningful assessment of the applicant's emergency situation; and (5) Agree to participate in any social service activities that may be required by the provider agency to ensure avoidance of a similar situation. (b) A provider agency may require additional eligibility requirements which are directly related to the needs and characteristics of the target population being served by the provider agency; provided that the requirements do not violate any discrimination or other laws.
