HAR §4-21-2. Definitions

As used in this chapter, unless context otherwise requires: "Board" means the board of agriculture, State of Hawaii; "Division head" means the chief or senior officer of the division of animal industry; "Licensed veterinarian" means a veterinarian having a current, valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Hawaii; "Pathogen" means any organism or material capable of producing disease; "Transmissible disease" means any contagious, infectious, or communicable disease of animals; 21-1 §4-21-2 "Vaccine" means a suspension of live, attenuated, or killed microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses used for the prevention or treatment of infectious diseases.
