HAR §5-11-51. Administrative practice and procedure

The rules of practice and procedure for notaries
public shall be as provided in chapter 5-1, the rules
of practice and procedure for administrative process
of the department of the attorney general.

Notification of denial of application
for commission or renewal, or of proposed disciplinary
action.
In the event an application for commission or
renewal is denied, or a notary public is to be
disciplined, the attorney general shall provide
written notification to the applicant or notary public
of the attorney general 1 s intended action, which shall
include a concise statement of the reasons therefor
and a statement informing the applicant or notary
public of the right to a hearing if the applicant or
notary public so desires.
