HAR §11-45-168. Training for imaging and localization studies

Except as provided in sections 11-45-169 and 11-45-170, the licensee shall require the authorized user of a radiopharmaceutical, generator, or reagent kit specified in section 11-45-156 to be a physician who: (1) Is certified in: (A) Nuclear medicine by the American Board of §11-45-168 45-140 Nuclear Medicine; or (B) Diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology; or (C) Diagnostic radiology or radiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology; or (D) Nuclear medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Nuclear Medicine; or (E) Nuclear medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; or (2) Has successfully completed a six-month training program in nuclear medicine as part of a training program that has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and that included classroom and laboratory training, work experience, and supervised clinical experience.
