(m) Corridors shall be at least thirty-six inches wide, except in facilities which have wheelchair residents where the corridors shall be at least forty-two inches wide. (n) In multi-level homes, there shall be an inside enclosed stairway. (o) Conveniently located space for personal care items and for equipment, such as crutches and wheelchairs, shall be provided. (p) Ramps shall not exceed a slope of more than one inch per foot and shall be covered with non-slip material. Those ramps which exceed seventy-two inches in length or have a rise greater than six inches shall have handrails on both sides. (q) Drawings and specifications for all new construction or additions, alterations or repairs to existing buildings shall be submitted to the department for preliminary review prior to construction and shall comply with current applicable state and county building, fire, sanitation and environmental codes, ordinances, and laws. (r) The department shall be provided with evidence that the premises for which the licensure is sought complies with the state and county sanitation, building, zoning and fire codes, ordinances, and laws.
