HAR §12-221.1-4. Boiler blowoff equipment

(a)
The
blowdown from a boiler or boilers that enters a
sanitary sewer system or blowdown that is considered
a hazard to life or property shall pass through some
form of blowoff equipment that will:
(1)
Prevent water exceeding 150 degrees
Fahrenheit from leaving the blowoff
equipment; and

(2)
Prevent the pressure leaving the blowdown
of any blowoff equipment to exceed five (5)
psig.
(b)
Blowoff equipment shall conform to the
provisions set forth in NB-27 "A Guide to Blowoff
Vessels".
