Social rehabilitation services are services provided to eligible individuals within the context of a residential treatment facility. Social rehabilitation services shall be aimed at helping eligible individuals: (1) Achieve self-sufficiency by providing services to individuals to improve levels of personal and social functioning and to enable individuals to maintain themselves at a maximum level of independence; (2) Prevent or remedy neglect, abuse, or exploitation of children and adults unable to protect their own interests; or (3) Prevent or reduce inappropriate institutional care by providing for community-based care.
