01. Reporting Requirements. Each case of hepatitis C must be reported to the Department or Healt h District within three (3) working days of identification. (3-17-22) 02. Investigation. Each reported case of hepatitis C must be investigated to confirm the diagnosis an d identify possible sources of the infection. Hepatitis C may be confirmed by presence of hepatitis C antibody o r antigen. (3-17-22) 03. Testing Without an Informed Consent. A physician may order blood tests for hepatitis C whe n an informed consent is not possible and there has been or is likely to be significant exposure to a personโ€™s blood o r body fluids by a person providing emergency or medical services.
