Psittacosis

01. Reporting Requirements. Each case of psittacosis must be reported to the Department or Healt h District within three (3) working days of identification. (3-17-22) 02. Investigation. Each reported case must be investigated to confirm the diagnosis, identify cluster s or outbreaks of the infection, and identify possible sources of the infection. (3-17-22) 03. Handling of Report. Any identified sources or suspected sources of infection must be reported t o the Department which will notify the Idaho Department of Agriculture if birds or other animals are involved.
