The effective date of disqualification for Food Stamps is the month following the date the Department has documented evidence the individual is fleeing or violating parole/probation. (7-1-24) 287. INELIGIBILITY FOR A FELONY CONVICTION FOR POSSESSION, USE, OR DISTRIBUTION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. Individuals convicted under federal or state law of a felony involving the possession, use, or distribution of a controlled substance can receive Food Stamps when they comply with the terms of a withheld judgment, probation, or parole.
