Requirements For Emergency Actions And Fire Drills
IDAHO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE IDAPA 16.03.22 Department of Health and Welfare Residential Assisted Living Facilities Section 430 Page 20 Fire drills must be conducted quarterly and at least one per shift per year and include date and time of drill including personnel and residents involved. (7-1-26) 01. Report of Fire. Any fire or fire incident occurring within the facility must be reported to the Department within fifteen (15) days of the occurrence. A fire incident is considered any activation of the building's fire alarm system other than a false alarm, during testing of the fire alarm system, or during a fire drill. (7-1-26) 02. Fire Watch. Where a required fire alarm system or fire sprinkler system is out of service for more than four (4) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period, the local jurisdiction must be notified, and the building evacuated, or an approved and documented fire watch provided for all parties left unprotected by the shutdown until the fire alarm system has been returned to service.
