Upon receipt of a NF application, the State determines compliance with certification standards for the type of care the NF proposes to provide to Medicaid participants. (7-1-26) b. NFs applying to participate as a Skilled Nursing Facility must meet Medicare certification and program participation requirements before Medicaid certification. The State determines NF compliance with Medicare and recommends certification to the Medicare Agency. (7-1-26) c.
