Fees And Costs For Background Checks

The fee for a Department fingerprint-based background check is up to seventy dollars ($70) for an individual. The applicant is responsible for the cost of the background check. The Department may waive the fee for certain individuals. An applicant is responsible for any additional costs incurred by the Department paid to agencies, judicial, or law enforcement jurisdictions in other states.
