Definition
01. Chiropractic Assistant. A chiropractic assistant is an individual functioning in a dependent relationship with a supervising chiropractic physician in the performance of any chiropractic practice. (3-28-23) 02. Chiropractic Intern. A chiropractic intern is defined as any individual who is presently enrolled in a school of chiropractic and is qualified to practice as an intern as established by the approved chiropractic program that the individual attends and who will function in a dependent relationship with a supervising chiropractic physician in the performance of chiropractic practice. (7-1-25) 03. Direct Personal Supervision. Direct Personal Supervision means that the licensed chiropractic physician is physically present in the clinic, is monitoring the activities of the supervisee, and is available to intervene, if necessary. (3-28-23) 04. Clinical Nutritional Practice. Clinical nutritional methods, without clinical nutrition certification, is defined as the clinical use, administration, recommendation, prescribing, selling, and distributing over-the-counter vitamins, minerals, botanical medicine, herbals, homeopathic, phytonutrients, antioxidants, enzymes, glandular extracts, peptides, amino acids, and durable and non-durable medical goods and devices.
