Exemption From Trs Participation And Funding (Rule 301)

The Commission may permit a telephone corporation that provides local exchange service in Idaho or intrastate MTS/WATS service in Idaho to provide TRS to its customers through a TRS provider other than the provider selected by the Commission and may waive the telephone corporation’s obligation to participate in the program and to fund the program if the Commission finds, upon application by the telephone corporation, that: (3-31-22) 01. ADA. The telephone corporation will meet its obligation to its Idaho customers in accordance with the standards set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act. (3-31-22) 02. TRS Program. The operation or provision of TRS under the program approved by the Commission will not be substantially impaired if that telephone corporation does not participate in or fund the TRS program.
