Provisions For Former Prisoner Of War (Pow) License Plates
01. Eligible Person. Any veteran who was a prisoner of war (POW) of an armed enemy of the United States during active service in the armed forces of the United States during the following recognized war periods may be eligible: (7-1-24) 02. Certified Documentation. Eligibility will be documented by a copy of the applicantโs 53.55 or WORLD WAR II December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 KOREAN WAR June 27, 1950 to January 31, 1955 VIETNAM WAR August 5, 1964 to May 7, 1975 USS PUEBLO January 23, 1968 to December 23, 1968 PERSIAN GULF August 2, 1990 (Congress has not assigned an ending date.)
