Exempt Plate Status

01. Non-Expiring Plates. Exempt plates are non-expiring and require no annual renewal. (7-1-24) 02. Transfer of Plates. Exempt plates may be transferred between vehicles. If an exempt plate is transferred to another vehicle, a transfer request must be made to the Department. (7-1-24) 03. Reissue of Plates. Exempt plates will also be assessed personalization and program fees upon each reissuance. (7-1-24)
