An active member serving as an elected or appointed official who does not normally work twenty (20) hours or more per week who is age sixty-two (62) or older and eligible to retire and who is not an eligible employee with another state agency, political subdivision or government entity pursuant to Section 101 may then retire and continue in that position. The member shall receive retirement allowances under the conditions provided by Section 538. (7-1-24) 535. (RESERVED)
