DFPR’s Division of Professional Regulation (“DPR”) licenses a variety of health care professionals via their new online licensing system, CORE, including Behavior Analysts and Assistant Behavior Analysts. On February 26, 2025, DPR issued pertinent guidance that can be found on their website here and below: Behavior Analyst and Assistant Behavior Analyst licenses were added to IDFPR’s new Comprehensive Online Regulatory Environment (CORE) licensing system in January 2025. Our staff are working hard to process these applications. We appreciate your patience. To ensure our staff have adequate time to process the influx of applications along with other professional applications, IDFPR will not begin enforcement actions for unlicensed practices provided by Behavior Analysts and Assistant Behavior Analysts until Monday, April 21, 2025. The Department encourages issuers to recognize the impact of these licensure delays and make accommodations where appropriate to ensure impacted ABA providers and their behavior analysts can continue to deliver ABA services and ensuring covered enrollees do not encounter disruption or barriers to access to critical care they need.
