Section 2100.230Â Election of
Officers
a)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The elective officers shall be a Chairman and a Vice Chairman.
b)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Election of officers shall be the first order of business at a
meeting of the Board to be held in December of each even-numbered year.
c)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â On or before October 15 of each even-numbered year, the
Chairman shall appoint a Nominating Committee consisting of three members of
the Board whose membership on the Board does not expire before the election
date.
d)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It shall be the duty of the Nominating Committee to nominate
one or more candidates for each of the elective offices.
e)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Additional nominations may be made from the floor at the
election meeting of the Board.
f)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â An officer shall be elected for a term of 24 months, or until
his or her successor has been elected, and shall assume his duties immediately
upon being elected. Should a vacancy occur in either of the elective offices,
a special election shall be held for the purpose of filling the vacancy at the
next official meeting of the Board.
g)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Officer elections shall be by a secret ballot unless there is
only one nomination for a particular office to be filled.
h)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â To be elected to office, a candidate must receive a majority
of the legal votes cast.
