Section 505.160 Code Case
Applications (general)
The owner may, at its
discretion, elect to use an ASME Code Case to design, construct, examine, test,
repair or alter a boiler or pressure vessel. The owner shall notify the Agency
of all intentions to use a Code Case and the extent and nature of the use of
the Code Case for the particular application.
