Inspection Requirements

Section 505 Section 505.2400  Inspection Requirements a)         If, upon an external inspection, there is evidence of a leak or crack, enough of the covering of the non-ISI boiler or pressure vessel shall be removed so that the Authorized Inspector may determine the condition of the non-ISI boiler or pressure vessel. If removing the covering could create a situation which could affect the operability or safety of the vessel, the limitations of Section 505.20(c) of this Part shall apply. b)         Owners shall permanently maintain inspection reports and supporting documents throughout the lifetime of the equipment. c)         In addition to the requirements of this Section, owners shall meet the requirements of Section 505.140.
