Section 211.278  Aerospace Pretreatment Coating " Aerospace pretreatment coating " means an organic coating that contains at least 0.5 percent acids by weight and is applied directly to metal or composite surfaces to provide surface etching, corrosion resistance, adhesion, and ease of stripping.
